Join our cool club to buy, sell and swap stuff!

Once you have become a member of Jumbleworld.com, you are able to Buy, Sell, Bid or Auction and Swap items with other members and use all the other great facilities on offer on Jumbleworld.com.

To look for something to buy, simply write what it is in the 'lets look for' box or enter the 'Buying Zone' and select the category that fits the description closest to what you are looking for. Or, just have a look at what other members have for sale.

To sell something, simply enter the 'Selling Zone' and click on the link that you wish to use. You can sell an item, auction an item or swap it for something you would like of similar value. You will then need to complete the description and price fields relevant to your item and upload a digital picture which must be less than 2 mega pixels.

You can send messages to sellers asking for more details of their goods or join a queue if something you want is still only under offer from someone else.

If you wish to buy something, the following process will take place:

  • You click on the 'Buy it' tab on the page showing you the item and its description.

  • The selling member has to authorise the sale to you by entering the 'My Activity' page found at the top of the Members Zone, click on the link to 'What's under offer' in the 'Selling' category and authorise the sale.

  • The parent of the selling member will then have to authorise the sale by entering the 'Child Activity' which is in the Parent Zone and click on the tab labelled 'What's under offer' in the 'Selling' category.

  • The parent of the buying member then has to authorise the purchase by clicking on the link in 'What's under offer' in the 'Buying' category.

  • You are then taken to PayPal where you can complete the transaction by paying the selling member the price of the item and the price for postage.

  • PayPal will automatically take their commission from the selling member's PayPal account and e-mail both parties that the transaction has been completed successfully.

  • The selling member should then check their money has been received by entering 'My Activity' and then 'Things I've sold'. There are four icons here: a '£' sign that becomes pronounced once PayPal have confirmed the transaction is complete, an 'envelope' that highlights when you confirm that the item has been posted and two 'Dialogue balloons' that become highlighted once feedback from the seller or the buyer has been left.

  • Feedback is very important and the level of service from both parties will be seen on the pages they have with items for sale. The better the rating, the more likely members are to buy from that member - conversely, a poor experience will also be seen by prospective buyers which in turn may put them off?

As you can see, there are several actions that must take place for a transaction to be completed. These actions ensure orderly pricing and members will always have their parent or guardian authorise a transaction.

Messages are also received by the receiving member's parent before being passed onto the member to ensure content is appropriate.

So remember, check your Jumbleworld.com activity every day to see what is going on and remind your child to do the same! We hope you have some great success selling items on Jumbleworld.com and great fun doing it!
